Before you start the upgrade process, make sure to export all your project files. This is an important step to ensure that none of your work is lost during the transition. If you encounter any issues during installation, don't worry! Simply allow the uninstaller process to finish and then restart the installation. You'll be up and running in no time.

Please note that this version of Designer is currently supported on PC only, and requires Windows 10 (Professional or Enterprise), 64-bit edition. Additionally, device-related software improvements have been made to enhance operations, so you can expect a smoother experience overall.

In terms of compatibility, this new version is compatible with MXA902 5.0.115, as well as other recommended software and firmware versions. If you're upgrading from an earlier version of Designer, you'll be happy to know that templates saved in those versions will be moved to a project named 'Templates' beginning in version 4.5.0.

However, please note that project files and databases are not backward compatible with versions prior to 4.5. To update your firmware, simply download the Shure Update Utility.

Some important notes to keep in mind:

* Designer versions 3.0 and 3.1 must be upgraded to 3.2 first before upgrading to this version.

* The recommended system requirements include at least 8 GB RAM (16 GB may be required when accessing hundreds of devices).

* Windows 10 and 11 (Professional or Enterprise), 64-bit edition are the only supported operating systems.

* If you encounter an issue, whitelist the Designer Installer or application in your endpoint protection software.

In addition to these system requirements, there are a few more things to keep in mind:

* Certain endpoint protection software may block the installation of Designer.

* Designer and SystemOn cannot be installed on the same computer.

* Multiple versions of Designer cannot be installed on the same computer.

Finally, we've fixed an issue where Designer 4.7.15 could fail to deploy a room design to MXA920. And if you ever encounter the issue where your main window goes blank with a popup saying 'Failed to login to account', don't worry - this has also been resolved.
